The purpose of Missions & Outreach at El Bethel Baptist Church is to train and equip ordinary people to go and do extraordinary things in the name of Jesus so that all might see, hear and experience God’s love in tangible ways.
About Missions/Outreach at El Bethel
Why?
From its initial organization as a community of Christ-followers, El Bethel has valued the importance of missions and outreach in fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Out of our love for Christ and in obedience to His commands we are called to share His love with all people and to proclaim the gospel to those who have not heard. Our deepest desire is to further God’s kingdom by being used by the Holy Spirit to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ and to help them grow and mature in the Christian faith.
How?
How do we go about sharing the love of Jesus Christ “in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth?” Through initiating and leading ministries and service opportunities that exemplify Christ’s example of courageous compassion; by forming strategic partnerships in our local and global community; and by training, equipping and sending El Bethel members to go and be the face, hands and feet of Jesus to those who are hurting physically, emotionally and spiritually.
What Can You Do?
A Christ-centered life requires actions that reflect the heart of Jesus Christ. It is important for every Christ-follower to discover their unique giftedness and to use those gifts to glorify God. Use what God has given you in terms of time, talent and treasures for His glory. Pray for those who have not ever heard the gospel or for those who are sent to share God’s love. Use your skills or special abilities in one of the many ministries of El Bethel. It could be that God wants to use your earthly treasures to make an eternal difference in the life of someone else. El Bethel allocates 10% of all undesignated giving directly to the missions/outreach ministries of the church, but direct giving of your time or money to any of these ministries or partners is always a good way to start becoming involved.
Where Do We Go?

Project 28 -
Every Sunday Evening at 5:00 p.m. we invite you to join us for Outreach in our community through door-to-door visitation, In-reach in our church body, visiting the sick, widows, and prospective members, and joining together to pray over different areas and rooms of our church building begging God to continue to move.

Every Summer we do a "mini-VBS" in a community in Geneva, where we have the opportunity to love on children and simply share the gospel with them. This opens the door for us to share the gospel with the family of the children.
